Where are you from + What is your
background?
I was born in Des Moines and lived and grew up in
Urbandale. The majority of my work
experience was in the restaurant business.
I worked all aspects of the industry from waitress to management. That provided me an abundance of “people”
experience and bookkeeping and accounting skills. Those attributes made for an easy transition
into Universal Printing as the office manager.
It didn’t hurt that I married the owner, either!
Outside of work you will find me….?
When not at work, I enjoy my home in Waukee and good times with family
& friends. During the summer, you
can find me poolside most evenings after work and weekends. I also, enjoy cooking and entertaining,
flower gardening, though I’m a novice, a good book and my dogs, Maddie and
Jackson. I regularly attend social
events and functions with several of my close friends. I enjoy traveling, especially if we go to
either coast, Hawaii or the Caribbean. I
love the ocean!
Why Universal?
Well, George, the owner, is my husband!
Universal Printing is a family business and I am blessed to be able to
work with my husband and children every day.
Actually, our entire staff is like family! We have a great team. The comradery from front office to the plant
makes for a caring and fun environment to work.
I enjoy getting to know our customers on a personal basis and assisting
them with their printing needs. Each day
holds a new experience and challenge handling the wide variety of jobs we
produce. There’s never a dull moment at
Universal Printing!
